DELIVERY TYPES - IMPORTANT INFORMATION

With the nature of the products we sell, the goods come in various shapes, sizes and weights, and therefore the services and the sizes of vehicles required to deliver these goods are different.  Please make note of the following services before ordering your items.  If you have any queries, concerns or delivery restriction information, please feel free to contact us at any time with this information or add these details to your order when checking out.

Boxed Delivery:

Items in small, medium and large boxes will be delivered to your address by a tracked delivery service.  You will receive your delivery tracking number once your item has been despatched and, if specified at check out, if you have requested a 1 hour delivery time window then this will be emailed and text to you on the day of delivery if the relevant contact details have been provided to us.

The delivery company will make every effort possible to deliver your item at the first attempt.  If you are not at the premises, the driver will look to leave your item, where possible, with a neighbour or in a safe place at the premises.  If neither of these are available, then you will receive a delivery card with details on how to re-book a delivery of your items.

Pallet Delivery:

If your goods are to be delivered on a pallet, this will be because of either the weight of the item is heavier than one person can lift, or the size or nature of the box and its contents requires secure delivery on a pallet.  You will be contacted by the delivery company and given your delivery date in advance,

**failure to be at the property to receive your delivery will incur a failed delivery charge.**

Your palletised goods will be delivered via a lorry of a minimum of 7.5 tonnes, therefore if you have any delivery restrictions to your property, such as single track or restricted height or width access, this information must be provided at the time or ordering your goods.

The delivery company will unload your goods from the lorry using a pallet or pump truck, and are contracted to leave the goods at the kerbside of the vehicle.  If you have a driveway or wide path which is large enough to accept a 120cm by 100cm pallet and that the path or driveway is made from hard standing material such as paving stone, block paving, tarmac or concrete, then the goods can be moved across this pathway and the goods positioned where you would like them.  The positioning of these goods is at the drivers discretion.  If your driveway is steep or on a severe slop, or the material of the pathway or driveway will not allow the travel of the pump/pallet truck, then the goods will be left at the kerbside and is therefore your responsibility to move the goods to the delivery location of your choice.  Due to the nature of the pallet, its size and weight, two strong persons will be required to move the items.

Two-Man Delivery:

If you would like your goods to be located in a specific area of your choice, or that you are not in a position to accept a kerbside delivery and handle the goods yourself, then we do offer a two man delivery service.  Your goods will be delivered to your address in a van or lorry, usually a minimum of 7.5 tonne in size, therefore any delivery restrictions or access restrictions should be notified at the time of order.

The two man service will manually unload your items from the lorry and carry them onto your property and locate them at a position of your choice.  Any access restrictions to the property must be stated at the time of order.  The delivery team are not authorised to gain access to your property with the goods via going through or across a private property or another private address.  The delivery team will locate the goods to, wherever physically and reasonably possible, the location of your choice.  They will not unpack and assemble the goods for you.

If you have any concerns whatsoever about any aspect of your delivery process please contact us at any time on 0203 598 2053 or email us at orders@gardenbox.co.uk
